What it costs, and why it is written down
A tribute that has to be asked for twice is not one. The amounts are published and so are the rules: it is the only way money stays what it should be — a mark of seriousness, never a lever of pressure.

The financial strand
Financial domination, held like everything else
I practise it, and I practise it bounded. What follows is not a decorative precaution: these are the rules of the instrument I use, and they do not switch off.
A ceiling
Every tier carries a monthly maximum fixed in advance. No penalty, no game, and no evening on which you would have agreed to anything goes past it.
A low entry
We start small. Many will never move from there, and that is entirely well.
A climb you ask for
No tier opens unless you have asked for it, in writing, twenty-four hours before it takes effect.
A way out
Stop at any moment, without justifying yourself. What is owed is erased.
A ledger
Legible from both sides, at any hour, without having to ask.
No weakness used
I do not use a grief, a loneliness or a shame to raise an amount. Ever.
The instrument I use
The financial strand is held on a separate system, where everything is written, capped and open to inspection — by you as much as by me.
Gifts
A gift is asked for before it is given, and it never replaces a tribute. Nothing is sent without my having said yes.
The other house
The financial strand has a house of its own.
Everything written down — the contract, the monthly cap, the ledger, the daily proof — lives there, under its own name. Nothing is taken by surprise and nothing is irreversible. Come back here for the person; go there for the machinery.
